My latest city trip to Paris has completely changed the way I feel about this city. Of course, I’m still head over heels in love with this city. But where I used to be a big fan of “Le Marais”, I rediscovered my old love “Montmartre”. Guess what? We’re back together, and this time my love will for “Montmartre” will stay. To make sure you also fall in love with Montmartre, I will share the coolest hotspots to visit and the best places for coffee and/or food.
The best hotspots in Montmartre:
Shopping in Montmarte:
Sept Cinq is a concept store filled with the products of French designers. All the items were locally or at least produced in French by well known or just starting designers. From beautiful watches to jewellery or decoration for in your house. I spotted some amazing glitter derby shoes by the brand Bobbies and the watches by Les Partisanes are on my wishlist now.
Sept Cinq | 54 rue Notre-Dame de Lorette | Paris 9e | Metro Pigalle
Les Jardins Parisiens is an urban style concept shop with clothes for man and woman. Many organic based clothes of which a lot very limited. So don’t wait too long with shopping.
Les Jardin Parisiens | 10B Rue de Châteaudun
| Paris 9e
Other cool hotspots for some serious shopping in Montmartre Paris are:
Héroines; very girly and colorful dresses, all from their own brand.
Spree; for the real fashionistas among us. Brands like Vanessa Bruno & Isabel Marant.
Karl Marc John; the shops of this brand you can find all through the city of Paris. I love that they have an affordable collection with awesome basics for women and kids. I bought a beautiful skirt, and if I wanted I’ve could have bought the same for the little one.
Eating and coffee in Montmartre:
Never entered such a happy vibe coffee shop. Everything in the space breathed happy vibes. The ceramics for starters were the first thing I noticed. Later on, I discovered these were made by a friend of the owner, especially for the cafe. If you’re into ceramics, go check out this talented woman: Bla Bla ceramic. Back to the café, really nice decorated with lots of little details. I for instance love the wallpaper, in the back is a kids proof area with the amazing big drawing maps by Omy Design. We have one hanging in our house too. Good coffee, a daily changing menu and good music on the stereo. Go, go, go!
Aloha Café | 32 rue Pierre Fontaine | Paris | Metro Blanche
Looking for a good cup of coffee? This is the place to be in Montmartre. For other good places in Paris to drink your coffee, take a look at this list.
La Compagnie du Café | 19, rue Notre Dame de Lorette | Paris 9e | Metro Pigalle
Other good places to eat in Montmartre:
Tomboy Food; in weekend for brunch, during the week some good home-made classic French food!
5 Lorette; small cute restaurant with vegan, vegetarian and mostly bio food.
Le Dépanneur Pigalle; for burgers and home-made icetea.
