The Instagram community in Amsterdam is very much active. Every now and then people come together through instameets or as some call them empty meets. A unique occasion where you can meet each other offline, at a mostly very unique location. Sometimes the location opens it doors especially for this group. And this is what happened during the Unseen Photo Fair in Amsterdam. Jann, also known as @senns_less organised an instameet after hours with the organisation of the Unsee Photo Festival in the famous Gashouder.

With a hand full of Instagramers they welcomed us after hours when the festival was closing to come over and look at the exhibition and if we wanted to take some photos. In this case, it felt a bit uncomfortable as this fair is all about the “unseen” talent of some amazing photographers. Who am I to take photos of that. But on the other hand, it could be some extra promotion to share the amazing work which the festival featured this year. In the end, I was still so amazed about some of the works, that I didn’t feel like taking many pictures. As I do understand the special occasions every time I get invited and most of all the end results. I felt it was about time to write a blog about it and share some of the photos taken during this Instameet. I’m extra proud that the artist who’s work I featured in my photo did a repost on her account. Below you can find the photos of some of the other people who attended the Instameet. Unseen Photo Fair is the Internationale photo fair with a focus on new photography and takes place at the Westergasfabriekterrein in Amsterdam. 53 International galeries present the latest work of more than 150 unseen artists.
